Chabanel Mechanical Ventilation Station

The project scope encompasses the exterior upgrade of the existing rectifier station and the construction of a new building for the mechanical ventilation station. An essential project to upgrade metro installations to current standards.
It will quadruple ventilation capacity to around 240,000 cubic feet of air per minute. The station has been designed to regulate ambient temperature, provide fresh air for night workers, and control air circulation in the event of an incident. The exterior brick cladding is in relief with architectural concrete walls incorporating a curtain wall insert. The construction work comprises the following activities: retaining, open-cast and tunnel excavation, formwork, concreting, waterproofing, backfilling, electrical, mechanical, architectural, telecommunications and control (automation).
