Pont P-14120 – Rehabilitation of Pont Des Pins, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue

Project Complete
The project involved restoring the deteriorated concrete surfaces of the bridge deck. On the 4 spans of the bridge, some repairs were carried out only on the deteriorated surface surface, while other surface repairs were carried out on the entire depth of the deck. These repairs affect the deck as well as the sides of the deck slab and the beams below the deteriorated deck.

Located on Chemin des Pins in the municipality of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, the bridge is approximately 154m long. The main work on this project consists of repairing structure P-14120 and its surrounding approaches. The contract covered, but was not limited to: demolition, earthworks and pavement foundation; repair of existing AASHTO girders; repair of the outer sides of the slab and diaphragms without extra thickness; repair of the foundation units (abutments, piers and headers) with extra thickness; depth repair and/or correction of the slab; reconstruction of the existing transition slabs; replacement of the asphalt mix and waterproofing membrane on the bridge; etc. These works required careful management of mobility in order to avoid impacting users’ mobility. From an environmental point of view, the swallow nesting area needed to be protected, in addition to dust management.
