Our mandate consisted of adding a state-of-the-art nuclear medicine department, an essential infrastructure aimed at improving access to specialized care for the community. This ambitious project involved the construction of a new 3-storey concrete pavilion, totaling over 3,100 m², to replace the existing modular buildings. The new pavilion houses not only the nuclear medicine department, but also modern clinical and administrative spaces, including offices, a teaching department, waiting areas, and a clinic.

The architectural integration with the existing building represented a significant technical challenge, requiring rigorous planning at the junctions of the structures. Right from the demolition phase, we had to navigate structural complexity due to the lack of precise plans for certain older sections of the building. This called for a methodical approach, adaptable to the conditions discovered on-site.

Maintaining hospital operations, including access to emergency services, was a constant priority throughout the project. Close coordination with the client ensured continuity of care throughout the works. We implemented dust and noise control measures to mitigate the impact on staff and patients. Safety was also at the heart of our site organization, to ensure that safe, well-defined, and obstacle-free pathways were accessible at all times.
