Acadie Project

Under construction
Delivery scheduled for October 2026
Construction of a highly prefabricated modular housing project in Montréal, featuring 26 residential units for families and single occupants.

Magil-Tisseur is proud to serve as the general contractor for the Acadie Project, which involves the construction of highly prefabricated modular housing units.

Once completed, the building will include 17 studio apartments for single occupants and 9 family housing units. Located at 7965 Boulevard de l’Acadie in Montréal, the project represents an investment of more than $10.1 million, with occupancy scheduled for October 2026.

This initiative is part of the first call for projects dedicated to the construction of highly prefabricated modular housing. Launched in January 2025, the program enabled the Société d’habitation du Québec (SHQ) to select five consortiums and authorize the development of eleven projects. For the Acadie Project, the Magil-Tisseur consortium was selected, while Les Industries Bonneville was entrusted with the manufacturing of the modular units.
"Magil-Tisseur is proud to bring its expertise to a project that will make a tangible contribution to improving access to affordable housing for Montréal communities. Modular construction is emerging as a model for the future, allowing us to develop fast, efficient and repeatable solutions. We are committed to continuing our efforts and serving as a trusted partner in the deployment of this approach on a national scale. We would like to thank Coopérative d’habitation Monde-Uni and the Société d’habitation du Québec for their trust.”
