Erected on the grounds of the Centre hospitalier de Lanaudière, the new building will be equipped with an adapted toilet and shower, ensuring comfort and privacy. The facility will also include a multi-purpose room, a commercial kitchen, rest areas and other common spaces designed to enhance occupants’ life quality. The building’s structure will be a combination of conventional steel framing and structural concrete. The project was designed with sustainability in mind, with the aim of achieving LEED V4 certification. The site will include a 300-space parking lot, a light-vehicle loading dock and heavy-vehicle access, ensuring optimal accessibility for users, family and staff.

More than just a construction project, the Saint-Charles-Borromée MDA is part of an inclusive vision that places residents at the heart of their community. By encouraging openness to the community, it aims to strengthen intergenerational ties and create a rewarding environment by involving families, citizens, community organizations, businesses and municipalities in the daily lives of residents.
