The work consists of inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and painting the Lachine Canal railway bridge. The goal is to secure and restore the original structure.
Rehabilitation work on the Canal Railway Bridge, specifically spans 2 and 4 under the CN-Wellington Bridge, to secure and restore the original structure. The work includes dismantling the structures supporting the catenaries (electrical cables), replacing the spans at the ends of the bridge, and rehabilitating various structural elements. The work also includes repairs, cleaning, maintenance and replacement of various parts, as well as painting.
