Angrignon Overpass

Project Complete
The Angrignon overpass was built in 1991 to allow road traffic to cross over the Lachine Canal. It is located on the Angrignon Boulevard, north of the LaSalle borough. The work consists of repairs to the outer sides of the bridge slab, local concrete repairs and demolition of the access staircase at the south abutment. A new steel access staircase was built. The work was carried out in accordance with the customer’s signage maintenance schedule. The running surface was also renewed, and waterproofing membrane and paving works were carried out on the bridge.

The City of Montreal has mandated us to carry out rehabilitation work on the Angrignon Bridge, which spans the Lachine Canal. The work on Parks Canada property mainly involved installing a shelter to protect users of the canal trail and adjacent pathway, setting up a storage area for materials and tools, and installing marine signage in the canal. The latter was installed in conjunction with the relocation of a mobile gangway that will enable work to be carried out under the bridge, while protecting the canal from falling debris.
