Irénée-Lussier Specialized School

Project Complete
Construction of the Irénée-Lussier specialized school, covering an area of 11,800 m², erected over three floors and located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood of Montreal. This new school can accommodate up to 250 young students aged 12 to 21 with special needs, including moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and other associated conditions.

The new school features 35 classrooms, 25 specialized spaces (art, music, IT, sports), a sensory room, workshops, and calming areas. It also includes a gym, a learning hub, and a cafeteria. Its design stands out with a central agora with skylights, a secure inner courtyard, and unique facilities such as miniature apartments, a culinary lab, and care rooms.
