Computer Technician

As the company is growing, we are currently seeking a Level 2 IT Technician. The incumbent's role includes improving user support and resolving various issues encountered, while providing external support for construction sites. The incumbent will also be responsible for the acquisition of hardware and software, in addition to being involved in the continuous improvement of the infrastructure and network.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Manage the IT infrastructure, including workstations, printers, telephone system, mobile devices, antivirus software, magnetic cards, etc.;

  • Install, upgrade, and develop hardware and software components;

  • Provide internal support to management by identifying and resolving various issues;

  • Maintain an inventory of computer equipment and various licenses;

  • Oversee the purchase of computer hardware and equipment;

  • Coordinate the work of suppliers and consultants;

  • Write and update documentation;

  • Help figure out where to invest in tech and help make it happen;

  • Work with and talk to the Chief Technology Officer and make sure business apps are working so things keep running smoothly when you're not around;

  • Be flexible with your schedule to meet the organization's daily needs;

  • Any other related stuff.

Required skills

  • Technical training in computer science, college level (DEC, AEC);

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in information technology and IT support;

  • Good knowledge of Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint;

  • Knowledge of Azure; VPN DHCP/IP DNS;

  • Knowledge of VMWare/Hyper-V;

  • Excellent general knowledge of computers: Microsoft systems, office software, telephony, antivirus, networking, etc.;

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity;

  • Independent, resourceful, and solution-oriented;

  • Good at managing priorities and well organized;

  • Customer service skills;

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Committed to continuous learning and naturally curious.
