We are currently seeking a Cost Estimator specializing in civil engineering and excavation. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for analyzing bid documents and evaluating project-specific costs and prices across various components (subcontractors, materials, company-specific items, etc.).

Roles and responsibilities

  • Search for tenders on all platforms;

  • Conduct a preliminary evaluation of the project to make a final decision;

  • Prepare the documents and surety bond for the subcontractor tender;

  • Conduct price research;

  • Calculate the cost of items produced by Tisseur Inc.;

  • Develop pricing for subcontractors;

  • Prepare the final bid;

  • Submit the pre-approval of final documents to clients;

  • Follow up with clients;

  • Negotiate and award contracts for the excavation department;

  • Provide project management support as needed;

  • Perform any other related tasks.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s or college degree in Estimating, Civil Engineering, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;

  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus;

  • Ability to read plans and specifications;

  • Teamwork skills;

  • Organized;

  • Versatile;

  • Proactive.
