Estimator - Buildings
The Estimator in our Building division is responsible for analyzing tender documents for our large-scale public construction projects. They ensure proper coordination and follow-up of bids with various subcontractors. They are in charge of preparing the different files to be submitted in proper form and on time.
Roles and responsibilities
Analyze tender documents (all plans and specifications);
Invite subcontractors from each category to submit bids;
Follow up with subcontractors;
Prepare change notices;
Ensure submission deadlines are met;
Manage documentation on the FTP site;
Analyze subcontractor pricing;
Enter bids into the budget;
Submit the completed file to the director for project validation;
Perform all other related tasks.
Required skills
Hold a college diploma (DEC) in architecture or estimating;
Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in estimating with a general contractor or any other relevant experience;
Possess excellent knowledge in estimating and building construction;
Ability to read plans and specifications;
Good computer skills (Excel, Word);
Knowledge of BIM;
Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously;
Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines;
Attention to detail;
Autonomous;
Teamwork skills;
Good interpersonal communication;
Strong analytical thinking.
