Superintendent - Building

Roles and responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and organize the work of construction site employees, subcontractors, and other trades;

• Inspect subcontractors' work;

• Plan the work schedule and ensure that deadlines are met;

• Monitor project deadlines and ensure compliance with quality standards;

• Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with plans and specifications;

• Monitor the quality of the work performed and ensure that contractual obligations are met;

• Forecast material and labor requirements to ensure optimal efficiency in the execution of the work;

• Coordinate change requests on site;

• Participate in daily site meetings with clients and subcontractors;

• Work in collaboration with the project manager and professionals;

• Apply procedures related to health and safety management on construction sites;

• Complete timesheets and the site log;

• Ensure the cleanliness of the site;

• Ensure compliance with CNESST laws;

• Perform any other related tasks.

Required skills

• Six years of relevant experience in construction site supervision;

• Experience and knowledge of the institutional/commercial and industrial division;

• Ability to manage a building construction site worth over $20 million;

• Ability to analyze plans and specifications;

• Knowledge of basic computer software (Excel, Word);

• Knowledge of PROCORE (an asset);

• Be self-reliant;
