The internship mainly consists of assisting one of our teams in the Civil division with their projects. You will follow the Project Manager and the Superintendent in their day-to-day work and be assigned several of the tasks listed below.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Responsible for transmitting, receiving, and filing project documentation;

  • Prepare technical documents according to the client’s required format;

  • Ensure compliance with the client’s administrative requirements (nomenclature, communication lines, etc.);

  • Manage subcontractor contractual documents during contract administration (notices, certificates of compliance, insurance, prevention programs, etc.);

  • Read and analyze specifications to develop the deliverables register;

  • Assign deliverables to the relevant subcontractors for the preparation and submission of documents required by the specifications;

  • Monitor work progress on site;

  • Continuously validate that the work complies with plans and specifications;

  • Take photos of the project to ensure everything is in compliance;

  • Take measurements for payment requests;

  • Attend site meetings and take notes;

  • Track delivery slips, work orders, and other administrative requirements;

  • Manage lien waivers and follow up in collaboration with the Project Director;

  • Prepare and send purchase orders;

  • File technical documents in the directory/PROCORE;

  • Perform all other related tasks.

Required skills

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering OR Building Engineering

  • Knowledge of civil construction materials

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Curious and resourceful

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
