Quality Manager

Under the supervision of the project manager and quality director, the incumbent ensures that customer specifications, quality criteria, and internal quality procedures are met at all stages of construction activities.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Be responsible for all quality control activities on the construction site;

  • Ensure the compliance of the construction site and the work;

  • Participate in the resolution of technical problems in the execution of the work in progress;

  • Coordinate inspections with the quality team on site to ensure compliance with plans and specifications;

  • Ensure constant presence on the construction site;

  • Manage non-compliance and corrective action;

  • Prepare quality control reports;

  • Prepare compliance reports;

  • Provide relevant recommendations to ensure the quality of the work;

  • Write specific technical reports;

  • Complete and validate control and instruction forms based on the verifications performed;

  • Coordinate with external laboratories;

  • Fill out production and materials received reports;

  • Plan stopping points with the project manager;

  • Ensure compliance with OHS on site and be familiar with the prevention program;

  • Participate in the site committee, if required;

  • Follow up with the CoSS on various OHS reports;

  • Perform all other related tasks.

Required skills

  • University degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering or any other related field;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required;

  • Good knowledge of PROCORE and ACC software (an asset);

  • Good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel);

  • Strong ability to read plans and specifications;

  • Report writing skills;

  • Good planning and organizational skills;

  • Ability to work independently;

  • Excellent adaptability;

  • Teamwork skills.
