Heavy equipment operator
Tisseur is currently seeking for experienced heavy equipment operator. Under the supervision of the Foreman and Superintendent, the operator will be able to drive and operate all necessary controls of heavy equipment on a construction site, such as a bulldozer, loader, grader, excavator, or other heavy machinery. He or she may also be called upon to collaborate with various subcontractors and other trades.
Roles and responsibilities
Drive and operate the necessary controls of heavy machinery;
Perform certain surveying work on more or less stable terrain in order to level the machine;
Install the necessary equipment on the machine's buckets;
Rig loads in order to lift them;
Secure the machine to a flatbed trailer using chains and hooks;
Perform daily maintenance on the machine and ensure it is in good working order;
Perform preventive maintenance;
Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
Required skills
Hold a valid CCQ occupation card;
Hold a valid ASP Construction card;
Ability to read plans required;
At least 1 year of experience in a similar position; Ability to work in a team;
Ability to adapt to various types of work;
Good communication skills.
