BIM Modeler - Civil

Reporting directly to the Director of Innovations, the Civil Modeler at Tisseur plays a strategic role in the development of the BIM environment in pre-construction and construction. You will be responsible for creating complex digital models where each structure and each earthwork takes shape with precision to anticipate execution challenges.

This position is an opportunity to bring technical ideas to life: you will work digitally and transparently to ensure the traceability of each modification, enabling Tisseur to stand out from the competition through the quality of its deliverables and the accuracy of its estimates.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Modeling and Engineering

  • 3D Modeling: Design the technical details of engineering structures and earthworks for assigned projects.

  • Packaging and Structures: Align modeling with visualization structures; prepare models for 4D (planning) and 5D (costing) processes.

  • Simulation: Develop construction method simulations to validate field approaches.

  • As-built (TQC): Prepare final models that accurately reflect the work completed on site.

    Estimation and Monitoring
  • Quantity Management: Extract estimate quantities from models (existing or created) and ensure rigorous digital tracking of changes.

  • Traceability: Ensure that every technical change is tracked and documented for the project team.

    Standards, Support, and Innovation

  • BIM standards: Develop, disseminate, and enforce BIM standards for projects in accordance with Tisseur guidelines.

  • Technical support: Resolve incidents related to modeling software and work files.

  • Collaboration: Participate in the launch of new projects, BIM development meetings (internal/external), and collaborate closely with surveyors, managers, and BIM coordinators.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • University degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering or any other related field;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required;

  • Good knowledge of PROCORE and ACC software (an asset);

  • Good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel);

  • Strong ability to read plans and specifications;

  • Report writing skills;

  • Good planning and organizational skills;

  • Ability to work independently;

  • Excellent adaptability;

  • Teamwork skills.
