Roles and responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the construction site;

• Operate lifts, skytracks, and other construction machinery;

• Manage stock and inventory on the construction site;

• Ensure the needs of employees, the foreman, and the superintendent are met;

• Handle the receipt of deliveries and orders;

• Load and unload construction materials and place them in work areas;

• Lay sewer and water pipes in an excavation trench;

• Handle pipes and manholes;

• Attach restraint systems;

• Install shoring, membrane, and pumping systems;

• Compact the soil using a vibratory plate and other machinery;

• Cutting elements using a power saw;

• Assisting qualified personnel in the performance of their work;

• Directing traffic on the construction site.

Required skills

• Hold a valid CCQ card for your occupation;

• Hold a valid ASP Construction card;

• Several years of experience working on large-scale excavation sites;

• Good command of reading plans, diagrams, drawings, and sketches;

• Autonomy and resourcefulness;

• Communication and teamwork.
