Project Director - Multi-Housing and Building

Roles and responsibilities

As part of the project management team, you will be the strategic backbone of our construction projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise and mobilize project teams—project managers, project assistants, superintendents, health and safety coordinators (CoSS)—to ensure overall project performance, smooth communication between the various stakeholders, and the efficient and optimal execution of activities;

  • Support the project team through sound human capital management by actively participating in training and skills development;

  • Participate in the negotiation of project contracts;

  • Monitor and present a monthly dashboard to the Senior Construction Manager;

  • Monitor and approve project expenses, timesheets, and other costs related to your department;

  • Supervise and coach project estimation and collaborate in contract management with subcontractors and clients;

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

  • Promote the company's OHS priority by ensuring that best practices are followed on construction sites, in collaboration with CoSS;

  • Be an ambassador for Tisseur's corporate culture, mission, and values.

Required skills

  • Hold a university degree or college diploma in architecture or construction engineering;

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management in the construction sector;

  • Minimum of 3 years as a project director or manager of a team of project managers (an asset);

  • Ability to read plans and specifications;

  • Knowledge of the PROCORE computer system;

  • Motivational and unifying leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work in a team;

  • Organized with excellent sense of priorities;

  • Versatile and proactive;

  • Act as an ambassador for the company both internally and externally.
