HR Advisor - Training and Performance

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Advisor—Training and Performance is responsible for managing and overseeing training and skills development activities within the organization. In collaboration with managers, he or she analyzes training needs, monitors regulatory requirements, certifications, and compliance with the 1% law. The individual also coordinates the performance management process, supports managers in conducting performance evaluations, and contributes to the continuous improvement of HR tools, processes, and metrics. In an advisory capacity, he or she ensures effective support for employees and managers while monitoring data and metrics related to training and performance.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Analyze training needs in collaboration with managers;

  • Monitor employees’ completion of mandatory and regulatory training;

  • Manage compliance with the 1% law;

  • Coordinate the logistics of external training sessions;

  • Track certifications, qualifications, competency profiles, and other job-related requirements;

  • Maintain up-to-date employee training records;

  • Participate in the management of available grant programs;

  • Coordinate the various stages of the performance evaluation cycle;

  • Support managers in preparing and conducting performance evaluations;

  • Follow up on probationary, mid-year, and annual evaluations;

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of forms, tools, and processes related to performance management;

  • Document performance follow-ups;

  • Monitor HR indicators related to training and performance;

  • Analyze sector-specific indicators and present them at monthly HR department meetings;

  • Provide excellent service to employees and managers;

  • Perform all other related tasks.

Required skills

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field;

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in an HR role involving training and performance management responsibilities;

  • Experience in the construction industry (a plus);

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently;

  • Proficiency with HR technology tools and the Microsoft 365 suite;

  • Communication, leadership, and teamwork skills;

  • Ability to adapt, resolve conflicts, and exercise sound judgment.
