Formwork Carpenter
The formwork carpenter prepares and assembles various temporary structures for different projects.
Roles and responsibilities
Build foundation formwork, specifically walls and columns;
Read and interpret construction plans;
Install metal reinforcement (rebar) as needed;
Assemble formwork panels;
Participate in concrete pouring;
Ensure compliance with safety standards on the job site;
All other related tasks.
Required skills
DEP in carpentry-joinery or masonry (an asset)
Hold a valid CCQ card for your occupation;
Hold a valid ASP Construction card;
Have experience in a similar position (an asset);
Good command of reading plans, diagrams, drawings, and sketches;
Autonomy and resourcefulness;
Communication and teamwork.
