Formwork Carpenter

The formwork carpenter prepares and assembles various temporary structures for different projects.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Build foundation formwork, specifically walls and columns;

  • Read and interpret construction plans;

  • Install metal reinforcement (rebar) as needed;

  • Assemble formwork panels;

  • Participate in concrete pouring;

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards on the job site;

  • All other related tasks.

Required skills

  • DEP in carpentry-joinery or masonry (an asset)

  • Hold a valid CCQ card for your occupation;

  • Hold a valid ASP Construction card;

  • Have experience in a similar position (an asset);

  • Good command of reading plans, diagrams, drawings, and sketches;

  • Autonomy and resourcefulness;

  • Communication and teamwork.
