Field Surveyor
Under the supervision of the Chief Surveyor, the Field Surveyor will work closely with various project managers, superintendents, and site stakeholders.
Roles and responsibilities
Plan and analyze plans and methods for conducting official surveys;
Survey for the structure and excavation department;
Work with robotic stations and GPS;
Set up building anchors, foundations, and civil engineering structures;
Survey and demarcate subdivisions for development purposes;
Perform progress calculations;
Take quantity readings;
Prepare reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D;
Provide support to field teams;
Communicate closely with project managers, the superintendent, the engineer, and the foreman;
Record all measurements and other data collected;
Submit all data collected to the Chief Surveyor;
Perform all other related tasks.
Required skills
Professional diploma in Surveying and ASP certification; Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Surveyor;
Experience in the field of construction, excavation, or civil engineering;
Ability to read plans and specifications;
Ability to produce surveys and calculations;
Enjoy working outdoors;
Be comfortable with computer equipment (software, calculators, etc.);
Knowledge of Autocad, Civil 3D, and Geomensura software;
Demonstrate team spirit and good analytical skills;
Be independent, precise, and meticulous;
Have a driver's license and be able to travel easily.
