Darwin Bridges project / ACI award

Tisseur is proud to have participated in the realization of the Darwin Bridges project located on Boulevard de L’Île-des-sœurs. These two bridges are the first in the world made of concrete with powdered glass which is equivalent to approximately 70,000 bottles of wine. This 11M$ project won the 2021 Award of Excellence in the infrastructure category from the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Thanks to all our collaborators, our client La Ville de Montréal and the researcher from the University of Sherbrooke who, after 17 years of research, made this large-scale project possible. Congratulations to all the members of Tisseur.
